Type Design

Manie is a typeface inspired by “Wonder”, a novel by R.J. Palacio. The round and friendliness features of the typeface was designed to reflect the novel’s sweet and heartwarming story. 

The straight edge cut on the shoulder and the half–curved, half–straight serif characteristics contribute to the twist in the author’s voice. Caligraphic quality is also incorporated to portray the softness and kindness of the characters.
